I am not sure how many hours of coverage I would need.  Is 6 hours enough?

I am happy to discuss in detail with you, with timeline examples.  I've shot many weddings with 6 hours coverage, and they all covered finishing touches of the getting ready, up to the first dance!   Many things can change even up to the last minute.  If you are not sure, you can book for 6 hours, and can increase this later should you need more coverage.

How many photos will we get and is retouching included?  What about black and white photos?

I take hundreds of photos for every hour of the coverage, and in general, you will get between 50-100 edited photos (I mix between colour and the classic black & white) per 1 hour of coverage - so for 8 hours you will get approx. 600 (this number is not guaranteed - I've delivered 900 photos for an 8-hour wedding and 1,300 photos for a 10-hour wedding; all edited!  It depends on how packed your day is, etc.)   If you book engagement session, you wil receive around 30-70 photos.  I spend hours after the wedding to cull the thousand images with a fine-tooth comb, discard the undesireable ones (the photo bombs, the test shots, the unflattering shots, etc.), and only present to our clients the best images. Editing usually takes 3-5 times the wedding day coverage hours.  I personally tweak each photo (post-processing is part of my artistry, and I am proud to say I do not outsource it), to individually retouch and colour-correct, to achieve our high standard.   However, please note that I am not at all a heavy retoucher.  I aim to document the moments on your wedding day in their truest form.

What is your turnaround time?  How early can we get our photos?

I usually send you a sneak peek/highlight of your wedding day on my blog within a week, and your gallery with all the edited photos can take up to 2 weeks.  I believe in sharing the joy through photos while the wedding mood is still in the air, not months after.

What if I do not want my photos published on your blog/social media?

It's a delicate subject for sure.  Please read these links which explain in detail on the subject.  At Raraa Photography, I do understand that there are various reasons that you would not want your photos online.  However, as this hurts the small business' marketing, I charge a non-usage fee of CAD 500 for the loss of opportunity.

Do you travel (Canada and international)?

Currently I only shoot weddings in Canada.

I am interested to hire you as my wedding photographer!  How do I book and secure my date?

Click on this link.  Please note that prices are subject to change and can only be guaranteed with a booking.

Can we meet?

Yes!  I offer up to 30 minutes of free consultation either by phone, by Skype/Zoom, or in person in Quarry Park SE.  Once the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, you will have officially booked your wedding date, and only then will I be at your disposal for as long of a time as required to discuss all the other details and any inspirations you may have for your wedding.  I will be more than happy to answer questions/provide guidance on timing, locations, other vendors, etc.  I endeavour to reply to your emails immediately.  Please check your junk/spam box if you have not received my reply in 24 hours.

Please narrow down to 2-3 photographers that you will meet (more than that, and you'll make better use of your time by attending a bridal show; do not overwhelm yourselves) - those whose styles you love (through their portfolio - in most cases available on websites.  I am also happy to send links to show complete photos from start to finish as examples) and whose pricing (you can get pricing information prior to the meeting) fit your budget.  If you are meeting a photographer whose work you are not sure you like, and whose pricing is out of your budget, the meeting will likely be a waste of time for all parties involved.  A lot of details can be established via emails/calls prior to the meeting.

Do you offer photo booth?

I don't.

Do you offer videography?

I work with a great videographer that I am sure you will find to be one of the best values with top quality in wedding videography.  They are also ninja-like (= invincible on your wedding day; crucial skill for wedding photographer and videographer :D) and often praised by everyone for superb customer service.  Again, I am happy to help with more information and guidance including other vendors, once you have booked your date  :)
