I have been to countless Chinese weddings, but last Saturday was the first one that I had the honour to photograph.
The wedding ceremony took place at Scandinavian Centre, to celebrate Nancie's Swedish heritage, and a Chinese tea ceremony follows at Silver Dragon restaurant. Nancie and Victor opted to have photos done prior to the ceremony, at Riley Park. I love certain parts of Riley Park; lots of shade to provide nice, even natural light!

Double happiness stickers posted in various places, widely used in Chinese weddings to wish the newlyweds marital happiness.
Something old and something borrowed. From Nancie's mother and grandmother... Incorporating sentimental items from the family into the wedding is beautiful.
The boys had colourful inner lining for their jacket.
Getting ready for the wedding games... The groom was not allowed to simply come and meet the bride. First, he'd have to 'go through' the bridesmaids, who gave the groom and his best men challenges to undertake. Once successful, they would allow the groom to meet his future wife.
The girls made the boys sing... And did they boy go all out!
And... that's a wrap!
In final part of the wedding game, the best man was attempting to 'bribe' the bridesmaids... Both sides were good hagglers!

Aren't those yellow shoes fabulous?
I was told this was Victor's signature pose :D
